Rani Padmini Mahal History

Rani Padmini a unique beauty and Ratansen. After hearing the description of his appearance by poet-pandit Raghava Chetan, Sultan Alauddin Khilji of Delhi invaded Chittorgarh.

Even after 8 months of war, Alauddin Khilji could not win Chittor, he returned and after attacking for the second time, he tricked Raja Ratan Singh into captivity and demanded Padmavati as a condition for his return.

Then Padmavati also resorted to trickery and with the help of Gora-Badal, King Ratan Singh was freed by changing his disguise as Padmavati’s friends in palanquins with the help of Gora-Badal. But knowing this trick, Alauddin Khilji launched a strong attack and conquered Chittorgarh

After Ratan Singh’s death in the war, Rani Padmini and other females—approximately 16,000 women—did Jauhar to save themselves respect.
