The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue, built in front of the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada River at Kevadia in Rajpipla district of Gujarat state. The Sardar Sarovar Dam is built on the Satpura mountain range which is the longest dam in India.

Sardar Sarovar Dam was the dream of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel, who can see it with his own eyes today, so the face of the Statue is towards the Dam.

Sardar Patel was a great leader and freedom fighter. He was the first deputy prime minister and home minister of independent India. He had unified more than 500 princely states into the Union of India. Not only that but he is known as the Iron Man of India.

Seeing this is an incredible experience in itself, this statue is 182 meters long, which is not only the largest statue in the world but also in India.

Inside this statue there are two lifts which take you to the height of the jacket of Sardar Patel, it is also called the view gallery of the statue, its height is 135 meters, The capacity of the gallery is 200 passengers, from here you can see the Sardar Sarovar Dam. On the other side,

the Narmada River can be seen. The height of the toe of the Statue of Unity is 3.6 meters. There is a laser show at seven o’clock in the evening, whose ticket is included inside the ticket.

Larsen & Toubro Engineering Company of India was entrusted with the design, engineering, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance of the project. The sculpture was designed by renowned sculptor Ram V. Under the direction of Sutar,

who has made more than 40 monumental sculptures in the last 40 years. Around 6,000 metric tons of steel have been used in the construction of this national monument.
