If you are planning to visit a Jain temple then for sure you should visit Hutheesing Jain temple in Ahmedabad. Hutheesing Temple was constructed approximately in 1848 by Shet Hathising a wealthy Ahmedabad trader. The construction was supervised and completed by his wife Shethani Harkunvar. The total cost was approximately Rs. 10 lakh rs. It is dedicated to the 15th Jain Tirthankara, Shri Dharmanatha
This temple has a double-storied building. The Moolnayak is marble image of the 15th Tirthankara, Lord Dharamnath. The main temple has a small garbhagruh (main shrine). It has 52 small shrines dedicated to the various Tirthankars. The temple has a unique Manastambha (or column of honor) inspired by the Jain Manastambha and the Kirtistambha at Chittore in Rajasthan.
My experience
I would highly recommend this place. If you are a traveler like me and you are having an interest in temple architecture then you must visit this place The Jain temple known for its marvelous architecture. It gives immense relief when entered into the temple. The beauty of the temple outside as well inside is amazing.
When you enter the premises then just the left side there is parking. This temple premise has a two-story museum and Yatri Nivas for Jain peoples. They also provide food at a cost of 50 rs. I didn’t check that food but someone telling us.
In front of the main temple, there is Mahavir stambha and this tower height is 78 ft. This is just similar to Kirti stambha of Chittorgarh. The entry inside the tower was closed. Earlier people can go topmost portion of the tower.
Entry Fees for Museum – 20 Rs
