If you want to spend quality time, and looking for a picnic spot full of nature then you can visit the Polo forest.
Polo forest is a place, where natural beauty fulfills our hearts, there are many temples in ruin condition and some are worshiped till now, The Polo forest is nice trekking places and you can discover the forest also. The best time to visit the place in the monsoon season when the lake and water stream are full and light rain is there. I will suggest that if you are staying there at the night then you should stay in tent houses which will give you an amazing feeling to stay in the forest.

Experience and feel

The Polo forest is one of the famous places for a day picnic as well for a night stay for a thrilling experience. It is 150 km from Ahmedabad. I visited this place last year in December end. We have taken one package from Polo tent house. The cost was approx 700 rs per person. The whole package includes Local guide, breakfast on arrival, tracking, sight seen visit and evening snacks. But I will suggest don’t buy this package just half of the price you can enjoy more.

Activities to Do:

If you are going first-time then this is a very charming place. You are going to do track in the forest, mountain tracking and river crossing. Apart from this, you will found some ancient Jain temples.

we have started our journey from river crossing then walk a few meters in the forest thereafter climbing on the mountain. when I reached the top of the mountain I have forgotten my all fatigue because of the amazing sight view on all the sides. now move don the hill again for few meters. there are some dedicated places for tourists to sit there and spend some time on the top.

Now we move further to get off from the hill. Right now we just backside of the ancient Jain temple. we walk again a few meters after crossing dry rever. I can imagine during the rainy season it will be certainly more beautiful.

Resorts to stay in Polo Forest:

There is a lot of tent city in polo forest. You can find a two-three famous resort here. They have almost located 1 to 5 KM from Polo campsite. If you really want to experience nature, you can choose one tent house. The Polo campsite operated by the forest department may be an economical place to stay in the Polo forest.
