Bai Harir Sultani Mosque in Ancient Time
Just behind Dada Hari ni Vav, There is Bai Harir Sultani Mosque and Tomb. This was also built about 1500 AD. This said to be the final resting place of Bai Harir. There are 5 tombs within this.
Bai Harir mosque is a highly revered shrine in Ahmedabad. It is believed to have been built by Bai Harir Sultani who was the superintendent of the harem of Sultan Begada. The central mihrab or prayer area of the mosque shows inscriptions. The sculptural work in the center of the prayer room and upper part of the walls depict features of Gujarati architecture.
